JÚCARO: Vestigio

A specially curated selection of photographs at Casa De Barde, conceived as a prelude to the artist’s forthcoming book, Vestigio.

Casa De Barde presents exclusive images from the photographic work of JÚCARO. Together, they offer an intimate encounter with the artist’s distinctive way of observing the world of bullfighting.

Moving beyond the conventions of documentary photography, JÚCARO turns his attention to what unfolds around the bullring: a gesture held in time, the anticipation before an event, the tension of a shared moment, the closeness between strangers, and the silence that follows. Bullfighters and spectators appear alongside fleeting details, each image contributing to a visual memory shaped through years of patient, attentive looking.

The photographs do not simply record an arena or its rituals. They invite us to notice the atmosphere around them: the human presence, the emotion and the traces that remain.
